Devika Kataky

Hello! My name is Devika Kataky, and I am a 2nd year student in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at William James College. Before moving to Boston, I earned my B.A. from Emory University, and my M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from PCOM Georgia with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Development. I was ultimately drawn to pursue a career in clinical psychology due to of the humanistic nature of the field and a desire to prioritize mental health in a fast-paced and often dehumanizing world.

My professional interests are widespread; they include and are not limited to trauma, neurodiversity, emotions & cognition, mindfulness, and cross-cultural psychology. In my clinical work, I aim to treat people with a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach. Within sleep psychology, I am excited to learn more about how sleep quality impacts emotional regulation and the developing research aimed at improving sleep in people with and without mental health disorders. I am thrilled and grateful to be a part of the Center for Sleep and Cognition team!
