The Impact of Elections on Stress, Sleep, and Well-Being
**STUDY NOW CLOSED**
This study was a continuation of our online "Understanding the Impact of COVID-19 on Sleep and Mood" study that previously ran from March 2020 – December 2021. All adults (both US and international) over the age of 18 were able to participate in this study and both new and returning participants were welcome!
The primary purpose of this study period is to determine the societal and socio-political impacts of the 2024 election on stress levels, sleep, emotional and physical well-being, and other daily health habits (e.g., eating behavior, alcohol and substance use, exercise, etc.). Enrolled participants will also have the opportunity to participate in our 5-year follow-up of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spring of 2025.
For the Fall of 2024, participants were asked to complete one brief demographic survey, and then received daily surveys for two 2-week periods ending Nov 10th. Compensation for the fall period was a raffle for 300 Amazon gift cards ($20). Participants received one entry for completing the demographic survey, and one entry for every 4 days of daily surveys completed.
