The Impact of Elections on Stress, Sleep, and Well-Being
**NEW PARTICIPANTS CAN ENROLL ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE DATA COLLECTION PERIOD (ENDING NOV 10TH). EVEN A SINGLE DAILY SURVEY RESPONSE IS USEFUL!**
This study is a continuation of our online "Understanding the Impact of COVID-19 on Sleep and Mood" study that previously ran from March 2020 – December 2021. All adults (both US and international) over the age of 18 are able to participate in this study and both new and returning participants are welcome!
The primary purpose of this study period will be to determine the societal and socio-political impacts of the 2024 election on stress levels, sleep, emotional and physical well-being, and other daily health habits (e.g., eating behavior, alcohol and substance use, exercise, etc.). Enrolled participants will also have the opportunity to participate in our 5-year follow-up of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spring of 2025, but can also discontinue at any time.
For the Fall of 2024, participants will be asked to complete one brief demographic survey, and then will receive daily surveys for two 2-week periods ending Nov 10th. Compensation for the fall period will be a raffle for 300 Amazon gift cards ($20). Participants will receive one entry for completing the demographic survey, and one entry for every 4 days of daily surveys completed. Participants can enroll at any time in the data collection period — even a single daily survey response is valuable information!
